Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies are a classic snack, and they can be found in most homes all year round. Whether they’re made during the holidays or all the time as a baking staple, cookies are a delicious treat. When I was younger, I would buy the pre-made Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies mix from the store. All I had to do was place them on a baking sheet, put them in the oven, and then force myself to have some patience while they were baking. Sounds simple, right?

Well, one day I couldn’t find them in the grocery store. I looked for them in another store, but I couldn’t find them anywhere. The stores had stopped selling these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies in my area. I thought that was the end of my favorite snack for the longest time. I didn’t have the mindset or the patience to bake or cook homemade foods when I was younger. However; now that I am older and a little wiser (hopefully), I realize that I could make one of my favorite cookies on my own.

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are just what one might need on any given day. When you want a soft and tasty snack filled with peanut butter and chocolate, then this recipe is definitely for you. Further, homemade foods always bring a sense of accomplishment and pride, and it makes these cookies taste even better. I hope you like them!

  2. Brown Sugar – 1/2 cup, packed
  3. Granulated Sugar – 1/2 cup
  4. Butter – 1/2 cup (1 stick), softened
  5. Eggs – 2, room temperature
  6. Vanilla Extract – 1/2 teaspoon
  7. All Purpose Flour – 1 -1/4 cups, scoop and sweep
  8. Baking Soda – 3/4 teaspoon
  9. Baking Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt – 1/8 teaspoon
  11. Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips – 1 cup
  12. Sugar – a sprinkle or so, optional
  1. Mix the peanut butter, brown sugar, and butter together until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  4. Pour in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir until well combined, but do not over mix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop 1 tablespoon of cookie mix and roll into a ball. Place on a baking sheet, and repeat until the sheet is full, but the cookies are evenly spread apart.
  8. Sprinkle sugar on top of each ball of cookie mix. Do not flatten the cookies.
  9. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes. Then remove them from the oven and let them cool.
  10. Enjoy

Bake the cookies for an additional 2 – 3 minutes to get a crunch.

You will find that these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft and sweet. You can eat them as a stand alone snack or dip them in milk. They are truly one of my favorites, and I hope they will become yours as well. If you have any similar recipes, or a kind word to share then don’t hesitate to do so in the comments.
